JESUS IS LORD

ANTHEM
The night is dark
The way is long
And pain has silenced
My joyful song,
But over and under
The thrust of the sword
Echoes this certainty –
Jesus is Lord!

Jesus is Lord when the sun is high
On a cloudless day in a clear blue sky.
Jesus is Lord when the storm clouds roll
And release their tempest
Within my soul.

When the enemy comes in like a flood
I stand beneath my Saviour’s blood
Trusting that victory is assured
Because my captain, Jesus is Lord.

When the way is dark
And the night is long
And pain has silenced
Your joyful song,
Above and beneath
The thrust of the sword
Hold onto this promise –
JESUS IS LORD!
